Thorsten Kühsel, MA

Thorsten Kühsel is an art historian and provenance researcher based in Germany. He studied Art History, History and Law at Freie Universität and Humboldt-Universität, Berlin (Magister Artium), focusing on provenance research of confiscated art during the Nazi period. His academic interests lie in 19th and early 20th-century German art, particularly the artworks of Max Liebermann and Lovis Corinth. As well as, the Modern Art movements and the history of their reception in Germany among art collectors, dealers, and critics until 1945. He joined Mondex in 2016.
