James Palmer, Founder, Mondex Corporation

James Palmer was born in Toronto, Canada and established Mondex Corporation in 1993 for the purpose of helping beneficiaries with the restitution of unclaimed assets. 


Mr Palmer has been responsible for managing several successful restitution cases in cooperation with the Claims Resolution Tribunal, with respect to WWII era unclaimed Swiss bank accounts as well as with the French Prime Minster’s Office in conjunction with the activities of the Commission for the Compensation of Victims of Spoliation (CIVS) of France.  More recently Mr Palmer has managed the successful recovery of several works of art from a number of museums and government organizations and has successfully recovered several estates from the offices of the public trustee of several provinces and states in both Canada and the United States.


Mr Palmer has spoken about looted art and other looted assets at a number of seminars in both Canada and England and has also been asked to contribute to several internationally acclaimed magazines, newspapers and television programs with respect to matters involving looted art.


Mr Palmer has studied at York University of Toronto, Laurentian University of Sudbury, Ontario, Western University of London, Ontario, the University of Nice, France and Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh, Scotland and holds an Honours BA and an MBA and currently acts as a consultant for Mondex.
